Got this from Cyd West, Senior VP at First Community Mortgage, and I thought that it would be beneficial for everyone looking for homes.

Jean – This is what the experts are saying today. The water is definitely choppy in the bond market, so be prepared to change course!

“Up and down we go, as the volatility continues. Mortgage Bonds are trading lower this morning--after closing higher the last four trading days.

With no economic news today, bonds will likely dance around based on technical signals like resistance and support. As long as the Bond remains above the 50-Day and the 100-Day Moving Average, prices may move higher and break above resistance at the 25-Day Moving Average.

With that, I recommend floating. But, if prices should fall below this layer of support, I may quickly switch to a locking stance. As your mortgage advisor, I will keep you posted.”

Don't forget to check our websites (www.shineteam.com and www.jeanshine.com) for the latest updates on our listings.

Have a Super Fantastic day!!

Hi everyone. I hope that you had a Fantastic weekend. It was excellent weather here and I saw a lot of people outside working in their yards, kids playing outside and a large number of boats headed out to the lake. My son, Scott, found this article and I wanted to share it with you.

TEXAS ECONOMY STILL PUMPING

COLLEGE STATION (Real Estate Center) – Texas nonfarm employment rose 2.3 percent from February 2007 to February 2008 compared with the less than 1 percent annual growth rate of nonfarm employment for the United States as a whole.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 4.5 percent in February 2007 to 4.1 percent in February 2008.

Higher oil prices continue to help the state’s oil and natural gas industry. The state’s mining industry ranked first in job creation, followed by the leisure and hospitality industry, construction, professional and business services, and education and health services industry.

All Texas metro areas except Beaumont–Port Arthur experienced positive February-to-February employment growth rates. Odessa ranked first in job creation followed by Midland, Waco, Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown, and Longview. Midland had the lowest unemployment rate February 2008 followed by Odessa, Amarillo, Lubbock, and College Station–Bryan.

Hello again,

This week has started off just like like the last few, busy times in a hot market. I cut this out of the Killeen Daily Herald today and knew that it was important information that you would want.

Bell County growing faster than expected

Our area seems to be growing, growing, growing!!!

Make sure to mark April 12 on your calendars for the Shine Team Community Garage Sale. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Thanks,
Jean
